Auburn Tigers men’s basketball coach Bruce Pearl sent a fiery message on social media Sunday in response to a video apparently showing Hamas terrorists handing over three Israeli hostages to the Red Cross.
The video showed the hostages moving from one vehicle to another amid a large crowd of Hamas militants brandishing weapons and chanting “Allah Akbar.” The armed men then got on the vehicle.

Pearl didn’t seem happy.
“This is what granting autonomy to the Palestinians looks like. Do they seem to want peace?” he wrote on then live in peace or leave the city.”
Pearl is not one to shy away from supporting Israel. He is one of the most outspoken sports figures on this issue.
The Israeli cabinet approved a Gaza ceasefire deal early Saturday morning that would include the release of dozens of hostages and a pause in the war with Hamas that began after the terrorist group’s attack on the state Jewish on October 7, 2023.

The deal would allow the release of 33 hostages over the next six weeks in exchange for hundreds of Palestinians imprisoned by Israel. The remaining hostages should be released in a second phase which will be negotiated during the first.
Hamas agreed to release three female hostages on the first day of the deal, four on the seventh day, and the remaining 26 over the next five weeks.
Hamas has said it will not release the remaining hostages without a lasting ceasefire and a complete withdrawal from Israel.
