A large influx of tourists from various parts of the country thronged the picturesque snow-clad Neelam Valley of Azad Jammu Kashmir on Sunday.
After more than three months of dry weather, the upper reaches of the scenic valley experienced the third highest snowfall period, delighting residents and tourists.
The subordinate Graze Valley did not like central locations following intermittent heavy snowfall in the higher parts of the snow-covered Neelam Valley, sources in the National Disaster Management Authority told APP .
Tourist hotspots located in the scenic mountainous terrain of the Scenic Valley experienced varying degrees of medium to heavy snowfall.
The popular snow resorts transformed in the picturesque valley have turned into playgrounds for tourists from various parts of Pakistan and AJK, capturing memorable moments and expressing joy while playing in the snow.
Meanwhile, forecasts predict the possibility of light to moderate rain or snow at many places on both sides of the LoC in IIOJ&K, with heavy snowfall expected in the isolated upper reaches of the division of illegally occupied Kashmir, including in districts such as Kupwara. , Baramulla, Bandi-pora, Ganderbal, Shopian, Anantnag and Kulgam, indicates a report from across the Line of Control (LoC).
Residents of these high-altitude areas are strictly advised to exercise caution and avoid venturing into avalanche-prone areas for the next 24 hours, according to the AJKSDMA.
