Today, of course, is International Pi Day – a day to celebrate all things 3.14 (see what they did there) and, with today’s Strands, all things pie (something I didn’t understand after hearing my first word WIND – initially thinking it must be some sort of math term I’d never heard of).
While it is excellent that the spangram has the shape of a circle, given that Pi is the ratio between the circumference of a circle and its diameter, a spangram in the shape of the symbol pi would have been more impressive (especially since this would be impossible).
Having solved the pi/pie riddle, finding today’s words was elementary, even if it made me feel a little peckish.

- MANDOLIN
