Hailee Steinfeld shared a glimpse into her life before parenthood after skipping the Oscars where her film Sinners was nominated in many categories and won.
The 29-year-old actress detailed the current status of her and husband Josh Allen’s preparations to welcome their first child, in the latest update posted to her newsletter. Beautiful Company.
THE Dickinson The star revealed that her mother Cheri Steinfeld planned a baby shower for the mom-to-be, inviting all of her closest friends to “Hailee’s most comfortable place: her backyard.”
Hailee noted that there was “no baby shower theme per se, but a subtle thread of nursery rhymes was woven throughout the decor,” adding that nursery books were spread throughout.
“Everyone brought a book, so this baby is building a tiny library,” reads the newsletter released Tuesday, March 17.
THE love me The hitmaker also shared that in a “full circle moment,” her mother set up a knitting station so guests could make personalized gifts for the little one. It all came full circle because Hailee’s mother taught her how to knit while she was working on her first film.
The baby shower activity “reopened a fun hobby” for the mother-to-be.
While Hailee was busy with the baby shower, her resounding absence was felt at the Oscars this weekend as Sinners won the awards.
Her Sinners Michael B. Jordan, who won best actor, thanked Hailee in his acceptance speech and told the audience that she missed the ceremony because she was preparing to welcome her baby.
