Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are looking for alternative options in case Donald Trump destroys their chances for a future in America.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex apparently have a ‘bolt hole’ in Portugal if they are sued for leaving their California mansion.
Royal expert Jennie Bond says: “They now have a bolthole in Portugal. It’s probably much more than a bolthole – it’s undoubtedly a very fine property and may have been purchased by Eugenie’s husband, Jack.”
“So if things get awkward or uncomfortable in the US, Europe might see a little more of Harry, Meghan and their kids. I guess, though, they’ll let the dust settle and see how things play out – They seem very happy in their California lifestyle and I’m sure they don’t want to disturb their children unnecessarily.
It comes as Donald Trump said he would not protect Prince Harry once he became president of the United States.
He told Express US: “I wouldn’t protect him. He betrayed the Queen. It’s unforgivable. He would be alone if it were up to me.”
