You’re hard-pressed to find 32-inch TVs that support 4K resolution – it’s common on monitors, but not TVs – so I was pleased to see German AV company Loewe (which recently started selling in the US as well as Europe) was showing off a new line of small but premium TVs at ISE 2026.
The Vega series comes in 32- and 43-inch versions and shares a number of visual features with Loewe’s higher-tier Stellar TV range, with a similar stand and brushed aluminum-fronted soundbar beneath the screen.

Despite these concessions, the new range is far from entry-level, with the 32-inch option priced at £1,650, while the 43-inch model costs an equally expensive £1,900.
Watching a demo of a space scene, I was immediately impressed by the deep black tones delivered, while the distinct lack of bloom from the ultra-bright lights of spaceships traveling through the galaxy really made me wonder if it was indeed an LCD panel I was standing in front of.
The key to this surprising contrast performance is the Vega’s full direct LED backlighting – many TVs this size use – with an incredibly dense grid of 390 local dimming zones on the 43-inch model (the 32-inch Vega, meanwhile, has a more-than-respectable 260 dimming zones).
Although I wasn’t able to view high frame rate content during the demo, the larger Vega’s LCD panel supports 4K 120Hz as well as a variable refresh rate from its two HDMI 2.1 ports, but the 32-inch only goes up to 60Hz in 4K, so it’s not as much of a gaming powerhouse.
Dolby Vision IQ HDR which adapts based on ambient lighting is supported, as well as HDR10 and HLG.
Situated behind a specially designed aluminum speaker grill beneath the screen is a built-in Dolby Atmos soundbar with 60 watts of Class D amplification, which also impressed me with noticeable separation and a surprising amount of low-end power.
While it’s possible to connect your own audio system via HDMI eARC connectivity, the built-in system seems to be more than capable for regular viewing, and is a big plus for a TV aimed at rooms where space may be limited.
The Vega line runs on Loewe OS, which is an enhanced version of Hisense’s VIDAA platform, continuing Loewe’s move away from Samsung’s Tizen operating system. Although in my experience VIDAA is a simple and dynamic interface, offering access to all major streaming services, its library of apps available beyond that often feels light compared to other storefronts, meaning you might depend on a streaming box for more specialized content.
There is also Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay, Miracast, DLNA and Matter connectivity.
The high-quality panel technology means the whole thing is noticeably thicker than your average small LCD TV, while the super sleek aluminum frame, smoothly rotating table stand and overall weight underline its luxurious “Made in Germany” look.
Aesthetically, my only personal gripe is one I have with all current Loewe TVs – the brand label that appears on the right side of the screen – a cool design badge perhaps, but one that I find somewhat of a distraction from what’s happening on screen.
As mentioned, the new Vega range doesn’t have much premium competition when it comes to these kinds of screen sizes in the 4K resolution bracket, with Samsung’s Q8F QLED likely to be its main rival in the 32-inch category. However, the South Korean brand’s efforts lack local uplift, giving Loewe an advantage.
The competition picks up somewhat by moving up to 43 inches, with Samsung’s QN90F Mini LED offering a faster refresh rate at 165Hz, while the fantastic LG C5 OLED TV offers even better contrast thanks to its self-emissive panel.
It’s always nice to see Loewe offering another premium option in this type of size – there are tons of people who care a lot about quality and don’t have the space or inclination to get a larger screen.
