Meta’s latest smart glasses feature would have been perfect at the Winter Olympics, but I’m frustrated that it can’t be used by everyone.

  • Meta’s smart glasses receive v23 update
  • It will bring new snow sports statistics to users with a Garmin watch
  • Other upgrades improve conversation and translation capabilities

Meta’s smart glasses are currently receiving their v23 update, and the bumper upgrade would have been perfect at the Winter Olympics – it’s a shame it came a little too late. Superb translation and conversation improvements are also on the way.

The most notable upgrade is the integration of a new snow sports. As a Meta article explains, using a Garmin device, your glasses will be able to tell you about your current ski or snowboard excursion, such as the distance covered, the maximum speed of your last run, the steepness of the slope and your personal bests.
