Taylor Swift will attend her first awards show of 2026 on Thursday, March 26, and Swifties think there’s a special reason behind her appearance.
The 36-year-old pop star will attend the iHeartRadio awards ceremony where she is the most nominated star.
While many fans believe the Eras Tour singer could make her red carpet debut with future husband Travis Kelce, many are also speculating about a music-related announcement on the show.
A fan page on X reported that well-placed sources had said Swift would make a special announcement at the awards show.
Shortly after the post went viral, social media sleuths flocked to the comments, reacting to the news and speculating.
“FIRST TELEVISION it’s your time to shine,” some fans echoed, theorizing that Swift would announce the re-release of her self-titled album which she previously revealed she had re-recorded.
The Grammy winner will also mark the 20th anniversary of her debut album this year since she released it in October 2006.
Another most guessed announcement was also the Elizabeth Taylor single, which has been making waves in the pop world for some time.
Swift promoted the song on Spotify as well as on the radio and reportedly also recorded the music video.
The rumored single, or re-release, Swifties believe an announcement is imminent at the awards show because “Taylor Nation said so during a special appearance.”
Either way, fans won’t have to wait long as the music awards are scheduled for Thursday this week.
