Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Wednesday expressed deep gratitude for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts towards de-escalation and resolution through peaceful dialogue, during a phone call with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
I spoke with my dear brother His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to convey warm Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the royal family and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia.

According to the statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, during the call, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong condemnation of the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia, expressing his unwavering solidarity and support for the Kingdom and its people during these difficult times. He also praised Saudi leaders for showing remarkable restraint amid the current crisis.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also extended Eid-ul-Fitr wishes to Prince Salman and the people of Saudi Arabia. The crown prince reciprocated these sentiments.
Reassuring Prince Salman, the Prime Minister said Pakistan would continue to support Saudi Arabia, just as the Kingdom had supported Pakistan in times of need.
The Prime Minister called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and a return to normalcy, stressing that peace and stability in the region could only be achieved through dialogue. He further urged unity within the Umma, emphasizing its importance in these difficult times.
The two leaders agreed to maintain close coordination at all levels between their countries.
