PM Shehbaz discusses Middle East tensions, peace efforts with Malaysian counterpart

Malaysian Prime Minister shared details of his conversations with world leaders, emphasizing the need to end the Middle East conflict

Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif discussed the situation in the Gulf and regional tensions with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim after receiving a phone call from him on Thursday.

Hailing Prime Minister Shehbaz for his leadership, the Malaysian Prime Minister also shared details of his conversations with various world leaders, highlighting the immediate need to end the Middle East conflict. He offered Malaysia’s full support to Pakistan’s peace efforts.

Prime Minister Shehbaz appreciated the Malaysian Prime Minister’s message of support for the mediation efforts of Pakistan’s leadership to end the current tensions in the Middle East. He briefed the Malaysian Prime Minister on the latest diplomatic efforts, including his discussions with the leaders of brotherly Gulf countries and Iran to bring the United States and Iran to the negotiating table.

Prime Minister Shehbaz thanked the Malaysian Prime Minister and assured him that Pakistan would continue its sincere and genuine efforts to defuse tensions in the region. The two leaders agreed to maintain mutual contacts, also exchanged Eidul Fitr greetings and prayed for the unity and development of the Muslim Ummah.
