Previously, seven-year-old Sarim had been raped and murdered, according to initial reports from the police surgeon. The revelation emerged in the case of Sarim, a resident of the North Karachi building, who went missing on January 7.

Anil Haider, SSP Anti-Crime Cell (AVCC), confirmed that the police report revealed that Sarim was raped and his neck bone was also found broken. The report said Sarim was strangled to death.

Police surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed confirmed the initial report, stating that although the chemical examination report is still pending, the preliminary report suggests that Sarim was raped and murdered by strangulation.

Sarim was a student at a local seminary and disappeared on January 7 while returning from the madrasah with his brother. His father filed a missing person’s complaint with the Bilal Colony police, which led to a search operation in the apartment and surrounding areas.
