Chaos in Parliament as opposition protests PM’s arrival

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to the National Assembly on Monday was marked by strong protests from opposition members, turning the session into a scene of chaos.

The assembly session, chaired by Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, descended into disorder as lawmakers belonging to opposition parties chanted slogans and held placards in support of their party’s founder.

The members’ protests included loud chants of “Ooo Ooo”, drawing strong reactions from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) benches.

In response, PML-N lawmakers formed a protective barrier around the prime minister and retaliated with their own slogans, further escalating tensions.

The assembly resembled a “fish market”, with heated exchanges between members of rival parties.

Amid the uproar, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq adjourned the session until 2 p.m. the next day.
