Britney Spears broke her social media silence following her drunk driving arrest last month, sharing a playful video with her youngest son Jayden Federline, her first post since the March 4 incident.
The 44-year-old uploaded the clip to Instagram on March 27, showing the couple having fun together in front of a mirror, taking turns holding a red phone to take photos.
Britney was clearly in a good mood, tossing her hair and smiling all over. At one point, she playfully danced around Jayden before quickly catching up.
“A naughty little sister and a mother too!” She said, jumping around him. “It’s calm, I’m very calm.”
Jayden, 19, had his own moment in the video when he donned a fedora and channeled his inner Michael Jackson by saying, “I wish I could be like Michael.”
Britney also changed her outfit during the music video, swapping her initial all-white look, low-rise white shorts and a long-sleeved crop top, for skinny jeans, a blazer and heels.
She heartily captioned the video: “Thank you guys for all your support…spending time with your family and friends is such a blessing!!! Stay nice!!!”
The reunion comes after her rep confirmed in early March that Britney would be spending time with her sons while she worked following her arrest.
“Britney will take the right steps and comply with the law and I hope this can be the first step in a long overdue change that needs to happen in Britney’s life,” the statement said.
Her representative added that her loved ones are developing a plan to support her well-being going forward.
The time spent between mother and son takes on added meaning given how difficult their relationship can be.
Britney went almost three years without seeing Jayden, which makes the recent reconnection all the more meaningful to her. When he came back into her life in 2024, she was openly upset.
“I’m in shock!!! He came back and he feels older and smarter than me!!!” she wrote at the time. “He is a man and I cry every day of my life because of the miracle and genius that he is!!!”
Jayden, who lived in Hawaii with his father Kevin Federline, has since returned to Los Angeles to pursue his music career.
He last appeared on Britney’s Instagram in early January, and the couple spent the last two Christmases together. Britney also shares son Sean, 20, with Federline.
