Ye, who previously went by the name Kanye West, has finally released his long-awaited album, titled Bullyon a streaming platform after a listening event.
The controversial rapper made his fans crazy by releasing his new album on Youtube Music before even releasing it on Spotify or Apple Music.
He created for the first time Bully during a listening event streamed live on YouTube, ahead of the album’s wider release on streaming platforms.
All 18 tracks appeared on the streaming platform just after midnight as part of the rollout, making it one of the first times fans have heard the project.
Around the same time, versions of Bully also appeared on YouTube/YouTube Music, blurring the line between a listening event, soft release, or official release.
It is pertinent to note that as of this writing, fans are still waiting for the album to be available on other streaming platforms.
They took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their frustration over the delay, writing: “Spotify Apple Music DO YOUR JOB.”
Another shared their experience, adding: “Bruh I literally ran to open my Spotify to find Donda 2 on the latest albums.
“It’s out on YouTube and ig but not Spotify, I’m crying man,” a third commented with a crying emoji.
The wave of hype, confusion and urgency to listen to songs from the new album came a day after Kanye revealed the album’s tracklist.
