Yasir traveled to Iran on a work visa and died in a missile strike on a tugboat in the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas

The body of a young man from Karachi, martyred in an Israeli missile attack in Iran, has not yet been repatriated to Pakistan.
Yasir, a resident of Karachi’s Maripur area, had left for Iran six months ago on a work visa. He was working on a tugboat at the port of Bandar Abbas in Iran when a missile targeted his boat, resulting in his death.
Iranian authorities will hand over Yasir’s body to Pakistan. His two brothers and other relatives are present at the Taftan border to receive the body.
Talk to PK Press Club ExpressWajid, Yasir’s brother, said the body was expected to be handed over either this evening or Tuesday morning. According to him, the Balochistan government will receive the body from the Iranian authorities and then hand it over to the family.

A representative of the Edhi Foundation, volunteer Saad Edhi, said all necessary arrangements to receive the body and transport it to Karachi had been made. A camp was also set up at the Taftan border to accommodate the family.

According to the family, Yasir, 26, had gone to Iran six months ago in search of work, working on a tugboat responsible for assisting ships during docking operations near the port. His last contact with his family was on Eid during a video call.
The family said they were informed of the incident by one of Yasir’s colleagues, who reported that their ship had been attacked. The shipping company later confirmed his death. Yasir, a resident of Younusabad in Mauripur, Karachi, is survived by his wife and one child.
On March 7, another Pakistani death occurred when a fisherman from Gwadar lost his life after debris from an Israeli missile, intercepted by Iranian air defense systems, hit his boat in Iranian waters.
On March 6, falling debris in Abu Dhabi injured six Pakistani and Nepalese nationals due to the interception of a drone and wider missile activity over the United Arab Emirates.
