Apple TV Cape Fear The series has been on my radar for a while and I was so excited to see the first trailer. The horror crime film remains one of Scorsese’s best works, and I feel good about the TV adaptation.
Cape Fear sees Javier Bardem step into the shoes of Max Cady, a man freshly released from prison and seeking revenge on the public defenders who withheld evidence from him.
In the first trailer, we also see happily married lawyers Anna (Amy Adams) and Tom (Patrick Wilson) who seem to be living the perfect life. Until Cady shows up, of course, giving them exactly what he thinks they deserve.

What have fans said about Cape Fear on Apple TV?
So far, feedback on the YouTube trailer has been positive. Many people are just as excited about the series as I am, with one user writing: “Kudos to the editor of this trailer! Great stuff.”
Another praised Bardem’s portrayal of Cady, saying: “Javier Bardem can do anything, I can’t wait to see this, it looks awesome!”, with someone else echoing those sentiments, adding: “Javi is already scaring me just from the trailer.”
The casting for Cape Fear is seriously awesome, and with Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese executive producing alongside series creator Nick Antosca, I hope this is considered one of the best Apple TV shows.
And as a Simpsons fan, I’ve already enjoyed all the memes about it, referencing that iconic Sideshow Bob episode. This proves to what extent Cape Fear always is.
We’ll have to wait and see for ourselves when the series arrives this summer, but the trailer certainly looks promising.
