The car accident Tiger Woods got into on Friday resulted in his vehicle flipping onto the driver’s side.

Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek confirmed during a news conference that Woods was driving at “a high rate of speed” when his vehicle collided with another car.

With his car on the driver’s side, Woods was unable to get out of his door. So he had to exit through the passenger door.

However, authorities said he was actually assisted by the other driver during the crash and another bystander.

“After the collision, [the other driver] said he and an unknown person helped the driver out of the vehicle. [He] indicated that due to the vehicle rolling over on the driver’s side, the driver was unable to exit properly and had to exit from the front passenger side. [He] “He indicated that he was the sole occupant of his vehicle and confirmed that the driver of the black SUV was the sole occupant,” reads an arrest affidavit obtained by PK Press Club Digital.

The five-time Masters winner was arrested for driving under the influence with property damage and a refusal to submit to a Blood Alcohol Test (BAL) after law enforcement said his vehicle collided with another vehicle Friday afternoon while he was driving impaired. According to the arrest affidavit, the pills were later identified as hydrocodone, a prescription opioid for pain relief.

Woods previously told law enforcement before field sobriety tests that he had seven back surgeries and “over 20 leg surgeries.” He told law enforcement that “I take a few” prescription medications.

Friday’s arrest marked Woods’ second arrest for drunken driving in the past decade. In 2017, he was taken into custody, also on Jupiter Island, after taking prescription drugs and falling asleep behind the wheel of a moving car around 3 a.m.
