  • The ministry claims that all clips uploaded by the Taliban regime are staged.
  • According to him, the Kabul regime uses lies to appease national public opinion.
  • The claims of the Afghan Taliban and their media cannot be trusted, he adds.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Wednesday dismissed allegations regarding the removal of barbed wire along the Pak-Afghan border, calling them “fabricated and devoid of facts”.

The fact-checking team of the ministry has strongly condemned the false claims made by the spokespersons of the Afghan Taliban regime and India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

The Pak-Afghan border stretches over 2,640 kilometers of rugged landscape, which is guarded only by Pakistan, while the Taliban regime works hand in hand with terrorists, smugglers and criminal mafia to infiltrate, the statement added.

The ministry said the complex dynamics of this border have already been explained several times by concerned security officials.

The social media post also referred to the November 29 press conference of Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, during which he spoke about terrorist infiltration across the Pak-Afghan border.

All clips uploaded by Taliban regime media outlets are staged, outdated and consistent with the “Kharjis” and Taliban propaganda tactics of appearing briefly to record content and then fleeing, he added.

The ministry said such content creation not only confirms the cowardly nature of these ‘Kharjis’ and the Taliban, but also how they live in a fantasy world of propaganda and deception.

The ministry said that the Pak-Afghan border fence is fully intact and in fact all such attempts are receiving a heavy and disproportionate response here and there.

He said that frustrated by the destruction of over 250 border posts, as well as the capture of dozens of posts by Pakistani Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) in precise and targeted operations under Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, the Afghan Taliban regime resorted to a familiar litany of lies to satisfy its domestic audience.

The ministry further said that the Kabul regime and its Indian handlers are known internationally for their frivolous allegations, ranging from the capture of a Pakistani tank to supposed successful drone strikes, and even the capture of a Pakistani pilot in the ‘shalwar qameez’, thereby revealing their utter lack of credibility.

“The claims of the Afghan Taliban or their media cannot be trusted,” the ministry added.
