If you thought long marriages were all candles and chemistry, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are here to lovingly ruin that illusion.
In a recent episode of Live with Kelly and Markthe couple turned a random koala study into a full-on comedy sketch about their own relationship.
Mark, comparing himself to the surprisingly cold animals, explained: “When they mate… Sometimes they’re not interested… Instead of being heartbroken, they go back to sleep.” »
Kelly didn’t miss the opening. “It’s just like you!” she retorted – before delivering the real punchline: “I’m inserting my retainer.” He hears the retainer go in, it’s like a chastity belt!
Romance? Immediately canceled.
Mark leaned back on his brakes and added, “I come to bed with my little eucalyptus leaf and I’m like, ‘Hey, do you want to have some fun? No? Okay.'”
And yes, it’s just another day of oversharing for the couple who’ve been married since 1996. They’ve already admitted that their schedules — and preferences — don’t exactly match up.
Kelly prefers the night, Mark campaigned in the morning.

But reality had other plans.
