Charlene White, Loose women star and news anchor, has lent her support to Meghan Markle who was recently the subject of mockery on Saturday evening live.
The TV channel, which itself faced criticism for not wearing a poppy on air on Remembrance Day, slammed viewers’ obsession with tearing down Meghan.
Putting an end to the Duchess’ constant negative reactions, she said it was “inconceivable” to her that people would choose to be so critical.
She said: “We could do an episode featuring Harry and Meghan and people would be discussing it on social media for weeks and weeks afterwards.
“I just can’t understand how people get so deep and meaningful and so hateful towards someone they’ve never met before in their life,” she expressed her anger in a conversation with the Daily Mail at the British Diversity Awards at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London.
“It blows my mind and it’s inconceivable to me.”
White, who helped organize the diversity awards, continued: “I like talking about her, because I think it’s important that we talk about her without the intention of trying to get clicks and trying to beat up yet another woman.
“I think it’s really important, whereas for some people beating her is almost a sport.”
Actor Hammed Animashaun delivered a pointed joke about Prince Harry’s marriage, joking that the Duke was “going to marry a woman that 98% of the British public would find impossible to have a normal conversation about.”
Royal fans were divided over the targeted joke, with one joking: “Ouch!!! —— Again??”
However, another social media user said: “Smearing Prince Harry and Meghan will not be enough. It’s overused and frankly too transparent. »
