Tiger Woods had at least one friend to lean on shortly after his car crash that ended with his vehicle rolling over.
Bodycam footage obtained by PK Press Club Digital showed Woods hanging up his phone, then telling an officer he was “talking to the president.”
After the accident, Woods answered a phone call and walked down the street for a while. Woods went back and forth on the phone before an officer called him to come back.

“Mr. Woods, let me ask you to stay with us here, please.”
“Thank you very much. Alright, you got it. Thank you, goodbye,” Woods said as he ended his phone call.
Woods then asked the officer to repeat what he said, which the officer did.
“Yeah, I was just talking to the president,” Woods said calmly.
This brazen grab didn’t help matters in this situation, as Woods was arrested for driving under the influence. Although Woods displayed “triple zeros” on a breathalyzer, Woods showed signs of impairment and was found with two pills of hydrocodone, a prescription opioid for pain relief.

Woods previously told law enforcement before field sobriety tests that he had seven back surgeries and “over 20 leg surgeries.” He told law enforcement that “I take a few” prescription medications. In 2021, he had an accident that left him with serious leg injuries that kept him from playing golf for the entire year.
President Donald Trump has expressed his continued support for Woods, saying in a recent interview that the five-time Masters champion “lives a life of pain.”
“He lives a life of pain. He’s in a lot of pain. He’s an incredible guy. He’s an incredible athlete. He’s in pain,” Trump added Tuesday of Woods. “He doesn’t have a drinking problem, but he’s suffering.”

Shortly after the crash, Trump called Woods a “one of my very close friends” with “some difficulties”. Woods is dating Trump’s former daughter-in-law Vanessa, the mother of the president’s granddaughter Kai.
