Footage of the boos went viral on social media, providing a bragging opportunity for Massachusetts’ GOP gubernatorial candidates.

One of those contestants, Brian Shortsleeve, said in an X-rated video: “Hey, everyone, I’m from Fenway Park. Here’s a quick update: It’s a beautiful afternoon. The Red Sox are up by one run. Maura Healey and Michelle Wu just got booed real hard.”

In another post, he wrote: “It was even stronger in person!”

Another contestant, Mike Minogue, posted a video of Healey and Wu getting booed, writing: “Seems like the fans want someone else to live up to it.”

Healey demanded Thursday that two private airlines stop providing flights to ICE in order to quickly evacuate illegal immigrants who have been detained, citing a recent shooting involving ICE in Minneapolis.

In October, one of Healey’s aides was arrested on cocaine trafficking charges after investigators intercepted packages containing the drug that were to be delivered to a state office building where he worked, prosecutors said.

Wu has been the target of frequent controversy due to his resistance to immigration measures.

In February, Wu accused federal immigration agents of conducting “unconstitutional” operations in the city and ordered the public release of surveillance and body camera footage of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s actions.
