Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will not attend Easter Sunday mass, but a palace source said they will attend future royal events.
While King Charles and Prince William may not be on the same page on this decision, there is one member of the royal family who is excited about the idea.
The York sisters are facing a “difficult time” as they skip one of the highlights of the royal year this week, according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, but there is a silver lining.
The expert told Daily Mail that Zara Tindall will be “particularly happy” if Beatrice and Eugenie “return to royal life sooner than expected”.
It is understood that the king loves his nieces and, barring further revelations from the Epstein files about them, they are ready to return.
“Under the incessant media spotlight with both of their parents in disgrace, Béatrice and Eugenie have undoubtedly struggled,” Richard revealed, noting that Zara and her husband Mike have been “extremely supportive” of them.
He added: “He will miss them at the Easter service.
Although Zara’s affection for her cousins is clear, if she had to make a choice, she would “side” with Prince William.
“It should be emphasized that Zara and Mike’s first loyalty is to the institution of the monarchy and its future,” the expert emphasized.
Zara and Mike would be considered part of William’s “inner circle” and they have a responsibility to the firm.
