According to the ISPR, recalling the operations of the Navy during Marka-e-HaqAdmiral Ashraf said the Pakistan Navy “came close to sinking the Indian Navy’s aircraft carrier, which forced the Indian Navy to remain in retreat in its perceived safe havens”, sending a clear message that any challenge to Pakistan’s maritime security will be met decisively.

Concluding his speech, the Navy Chief extended his best wishes to the crew of PNS KHAIBAR and reaffirmed the determination of the Pakistan Navy “to defend the sovereign seas and fulfill its responsibility as the custodian of the maritime borders”, the statement added.

The arrival of PNS KHAIBAR, along with the upcoming HANGOR-class submarines, marks a significant milestone in the modernization of the Navy, improving operational flexibility, combat power and strategic reach.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep satisfaction and pride over the induction of modern warship PNS KHAIBAR into the Pakistan Navy fleet, according to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

He described the development as an important step in strengthening Pakistan’s defense capabilities and ensuring effective protection of its maritime borders.

“A strong, balanced and technologically advanced navy is essential to safeguard national interests and ensure the security of maritime lines of communication,” he said.

Referring to “Marka-e-Haq“, he said, the professionalism and strategy of the Pakistan Navy forced the enemy to retreat.

Prime Minister Shehbaz reiterated that Pakistan will take all necessary measures to protect its maritime sovereignty and interests.

The Prime Minister said the government remained committed to equipping the Pakistan Navy in accordance with modern requirements.
