King Charles and Prince William argue Beatrice and Eugenie reveal themselves

King Charles’ latest decision regarding Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie has caused confusion and exposed the shift in power behind the palace walls.

Earlier, it was reported that the sisters had been asked not to join the royal family at this year’s Royal Ascot event.

They also celebrated Easter with their own families, away from the spotlight.

But sources have revealed the York family daughters will make an appearance at the racecourse despite the heat of the Epstein scandal.

Royal author Andrew Lownie believes King Charles has sent “mixed signals” in the ongoing saga of Beatrice and Eugenie.

According to the Mirrorhe said: “They’re banned from Royal Ascot, they’re banned from Easter, then all of a sudden they’re now coming to Ascot.”

Citing another royal commentator, Tom Skyes, Mr Lownie pointed out that the decision to let Beatrice and Eugenie come to Royal Ascot highlighted Prince William’s “dominant” side.

It has been said that the Prince and Princess of Wales would not skip Easter, but they are not big fans of Ascot.

Mr Lownie explained: “Tom Sykes pointed out that the Easter ban shows the decline of the king’s power in the face of an increasingly dominant William.”

He added: “That might well be the case, but if that’s the case, isn’t he repeating the mistakes of his father and grandmother?”
