Walmart’s New Cheap Google TV Streaming Stick Has Appeared: Get 4K and Dolby Atmos for a Very Low Price

  • Walmart’s new Google TV 4K streamer spotted in the wild, perhaps by mistake
  • Equipped with quad-core Cortex-A55, 4K and Dolby Atmos support
  • Expected in May, price around $30

Walmart appears to have unveiled its latest budget streaming stick, the Onn 4K Streaming Stick, but perhaps more by accident than design. There has been no official announcement, but the device has been spotted on some store shelves by an eagle-eyed Redditor.

According to Justlook361 (via Android Headlines), who posted photos of the boxed streamer, someone in the store may have made a mistake: there was only one box on the shelf and “it was mixed in with a bunch of sticks” rather than put away on its own shelf. This matches speculation that the device would launch in May; it is possible that the store ran out of stock earlier than expected by mistake.

In terms of specs, you get a lot for very little money: The $30 sticker price gets you dual-band Wi-Fi, 4K, and Dolby Atmos with Google Cast support and voice control through Gemini for the TV. It looks like an attractive Chromecast replacement and could be one of the best streaming devices for budget buyers in the US.
