Hailee Steinfeld gave a glimpse into the early days of her married life with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, and it’s the quieter moments that seem to mean the most to her.
Talk to Architectural compendiumThe actress, who welcomed a baby girl with Allen on April 2, just under a year after their May 2025 wedding, described the small daily rituals that have become meaningful in their home.
Of all the things, a new coffee machine was the detail that stood out.
“I’m not a big coffee drinker, but I really enjoy this ritual,” she said.
“There’s something simple about looking at my husband on a slower morning, when he has time to make himself a coffee, that little act of care before the day begins. I love it.”
The couple, who split their time between Western New York and California, are intentional about how they spend time together at home.
When it comes to screens during meals, Steinfeld has made his position clear.
“I enjoy a meal away from technology, and even if it’s just the two of us, if it’s us with friends, family, that time is so limited with the ability to have uninterrupted conversation over a nice meal.”
She and Allen aim for the dining table above the sofa, although she acknowledged it’s a “mixture of the two” in practice.
With a newborn now in the picture, the couple also put some thought into their home’s nursery.
Steinfeld described going back and forth on details, “more than I want to admit,” but said it had been a really enjoyable part of preparing for the new chapter.
Warm lighting was high on the priority list.
“Lighting is an important thing to me, warm, soft lighting,” she said, wanting their home to be “bright, airy and comfortable” and “a place where you can spend hours and not get tired of it.”
