Princess stepped out for candid conversations in Liverpool, highlighting a cause close to her heart.
During her visit on Thursday to Speke House, home to Launchpad Limited’s veterans’ accommodation, Princess Anne toured the facility, which provides apartments for up to 50 ex-service personnel.
She spent time meeting residents and staff, learning first-hand how the charity helps those who once served their country find stability, before unveiling a plaque to mark the occasion.
One resident, Wayne, spoke candidly about the difficulties he faced after leaving the forces, revealing how the support he found there changed everything.
Another veteran, James, recounted how his life took a dizzying turn after his service, battling PTSD and addiction.
At Speke House, he found more than just housing and something he was missing: a sense of belonging.
With counselors always available and staff constantly encouraging him, he was able to rebuild his life, get clean and even return to work.
The visit highlighted not only the challenges many veterans face, but also the quiet and determined work being done to help them move forward.
Later, Anne continued her busy day at Aintree Racecourse, attending the Great National Charity Lunch as Racing Welfare Patron.
