The answers to today’s Strands, game #768, are…
- CUNNING
- CAREFUL
- Clever
- TABLECLOTH
- CUNNING
- CUNNING
- SPANGRAM: LIKE AFOX
- My rating: Easy
- My rating: Perfect
“Sneaky”? Maybe it was something to do with Sly & The Family Stone’s hits? Except I couldn’t think of any of their hits beyond Family affairso this was quickly ruled out.
A hint gave me WILY, then I linked LIKEA, but instead of heading to FOX I headed to SHREW – “like a shrew” sounded almost like a spangram, but after getting SHREWD I realized I had missed LIKEAFOX.
From there, the board opened up and I was able to complete the game – but I would say that my labored gameplay today was decidedly lacking in RUSINESS.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Thursday April 9, Thu #767)
- PASTEL
- FRESCO
- ACRYLIC
- WATERCOLOR
- TEMPERA
- SPANGRAM: MEDIUM
