The actress said that in the early 2000s, she discovered a lump in her chest and went to see a doctor.
At the time, she didn’t think much of it but things quickly became scary.
She, however, said the doctor felt the lump and told her it was cancer without performing proper follow-up tests, such as an ultrasound or mammogram.

The star went on to say that the moment taught her the importance of speaking up for herself, as she also admitted that she didn’t seek a second opinion even though a friend suggested it because she trusted the first doctor.
Looking back, she says she doesn’t live with regret but sees it as a lesson to make better choices in the future.
THE Red The star wants others, especially women, to feel confident to ask questions and get checked out properly.
Lucy now participates in cancer awareness campaigns and says early detection can truly save lives.
