- Sony announced new Inzone products
- This includes the Inzone H6 Air Open-Back Wired Gaming Headset
- It is also updating its Inzone M10S monitor with the upgraded Inzone M10S 2.
Sony is expanding its Inzone hardware brand with a range of new products, including an incredibly lightweight wired gaming headset with serious audio features and a revised version of one of its best gaming monitors.
The new Inzone H6 Air wired gaming headset is the star of today’s reveals, offering an open design and a total weight of just 199g, putting it among the lightest headsets on the market. Visually, it looks a lot like the existing Inzone H9 2 Wireless., but with perforated aluminum earphone shells.
Designed for the highest level of detail in gaming, this headset is powered by the same drivers as Sony’s popular MDR-MV1 open-back studio headset, specially tuned for enhanced bass. Despite this, they are significantly cheaper than the MDR-MV1, which costs around $400/£340 for just £175 (or about $170).

The headset comes with a detachable cardioid microphone in addition to a USB-C audio box that allows compatibility with the company’s Inzone Hub PC software. As well as a range of other settings, it features a dedicated single-player ‘RPG/Adventure’, designed with sound designers from the PlayStation Studios team.
This headset is also officially recommended by Death Stranding 2: On the Beach developer Kojima Productions.
Open-back headphones are favored in professional audio environments thanks to their reputation for producing high-clarity sound across a more natural soundstage.
However, such designs come at the expense of sound insulation and allow all background noise to enter. They also leak sound, making them unsuitable for use in public places.
The best esports instructor is getting better?
The reveal of the Inzone H6 Air comes alongside that of the new Inzone M10S 2 gaming monitor, an upgraded version of the existing M10S.
The changes here are subtle, with the biggest being the move to a new refresh rate of 540Hz (up from the already incredibly smooth 480Hz) and a GtG response time of 0.02ms (as opposed to the original GtG speed of 0.03ms). You can now even run it at 720Hz if you upgrade to HD resolution.
The screen has also been fitted with a new anti-glare film coating, which should be useful in bright environments. Additionally, the stand has been improved with a wider tilt range of -5 to 35 degrees for a little more flexibility.
We gave the original Sony Inzone M10S a full five-star rating in our September 2024 review, praising its sleek and functional design while saying the spec sheet “justifies its price by offering everything an aspiring esports player or competitor could need.”
The Inzone M10S 2 will cost £1,199 (around £1,600), the same price the old model was back at at launch.
