Madonna stunned everyone after making an appearance during Sabrina Carpenter’s lively performance on Friday night (April 17) during the second weekend of Coachella.
Madonna performed with Sabrina Carpenter for duets of Vogue , Like a prayer and a new track.
Carpenter was playing Juno, usually the part of her “Short ‘n Sweet” tour in which she playfully arrests a new celebrity and this time she brings out Madonna.
The queen of pop appeared on stage to perform Vogue, joining Carpenter to debut a new duet.
The buzz around the track is that it will appear on the singer’s next album. Confessions II.
Then Madonna grabbed the microphone to deliver a long speech to the humming audience.
Recalling her debut in 2006, the Queen of Pop said: “20 years ago today I performed at Coachella. I was in the dance tent and it was the first time I performed ‘Confessions on a Dance Floor Pt. 1’ in America, and it was so exciting for me, so you can imagine what a thrill it is to be back 20 years later with the same boots, with the same corset, the jacket I wore earlier, a Gucci jacket.”
“So it’s like a full circle, you know? Very meaningful to me,” she concluded.
It’s no mere coincidence that Madonna’s return to Coachella coincides with the reveal of her next album, Confessions IIearlier this week.
The album is set to be released on July 3, 2026, marking the first full-length album in seven years.
