Manchester City midfielder Rodri suffered a groin injury during the 2-1 Premier League win over Arsenal, manager Pep Guardiola said.
The Spanish international came off in the 88th minute.
“We will do a test tonight,” Guardiola said on Sunday.
Rodri has returned to his best form in recent weeks after regaining his full fitness following ACL and groin injuries.
Rodri’s absence would be a major blow to second-placed City’s title hopes. The team are three points behind Arsenal but have a game in hand.
“I don’t know how long Rodri will be out,” Guardiola added, ahead of Wednesday’s potentially decisive clash with Burnley.
