Kendal Gray and Kali Armstrong are two professional wrestlers who represent the future of WWE’s women’s division.
Each rising superstar was able to reach the WWE Evolve Women’s Championships during their developmental promotion and has made a major impact since being called up to the NXT brand. Gray won the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge and Armstrong let Lola Vice know she was coming for the NXT Women’s Championship.
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T analyzed Gray and Armstrong’s meteoric rise in the company so far in a recent interview with PK Press Club Digital.

“She has proven that she is a special man. She has a special talent that is already in its infancy. Again, I wouldn’t want to push Kendal too fast because right now she is heavily touted as one of the greatest, if not the greatest, women’s wrestler to come into the WWE system,” he said.
“I don’t want her to be big-headed or anything like that because she’s so young in the business and she’s learned so quickly. But then again, psychology. When she learns that, oh man, it’s going to be hell to deal with. She’s going to be something very, very special. But she really needs to look into that aspect.”
Booker T said Armstrong also had the ability to be great. However, she still needed to perfect certain skills before she could achieve her greatness.

“She’s a very, very special talent. The first Evolve Women’s Champion. And then she lost that championship to Kendal Grey. I told her, ‘There’s a reason you lost that championship. We need to figure that out.’ You have to put yourself in a position where if you lose it, it will come right back to you,” he said.

“Again, there are these building blocks that we have to work with Kali. Personally, I’ll work with Kali person to person, from an individual perspective, just to hone that skill, to get her to know those details. I always say what you do before and what you do after… She has everything. She checks so many boxes but finishing her is something I look forward to.”
Gray was an amateur wrestling star in high school and was on the Team USA national wrestling team at one point.
Armstrong was a track star in college before signing with WWE.
“But as far as the ceiling goes, very, very high for these two ladies,” Booker T added.
