At least five people were injured in a grenade attack in Dalbandin, an area of Balochistan’s Chagai district, on Monday evening, police said.
According to police officials, unidentified individuals threw a hand grenade at a house in Dalbandin. The grenade landed in the courtyard of the house and exploded with a loud noise.
Following the blast, five people, identified as Muzammil, Mushtaq, Ismail, Khan Muhammad and Ejaz Ahmed, were injured and immediately shifted to Dalbandin Hospital for treatment.
Doctors said the injured suffered minor injuries in the explosion. Among the victims, two are from Multan, two from Sialkot and one from Narowal. All worked for a construction company in Dalbandin.

Earlier on Monday, a police constable was killed after terrorists launched a brazen attack on a check post in Killi Harmezai area of Pishin district of Balochistan.
According to police officials, unknown attackers opened fire indiscriminately at the checkpoint located in Harmezai area. The sudden attack seriously injured Constable Nematullah. He was immediately transferred to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment, but succumbed to his injuries.
The attackers managed to flee the scene shortly after the shooting. In response, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a large-scale search operation to apprehend the culprits.
