Brock Lesnar announced his retirement from professional wrestling following his WrestleMania 42 match against Oba Femi last week.

Lesnar, in tears, left his gloves and boots in the ring. He hugged Paul Heyman and thanked the fans as he left the ring for perhaps the last time in his career.

WWE legend Booker T spoke to PK Press Club Digital about Lesnar’s potential retirement. He said Lesnar, or any professional wrestler, would come back if the money was right.

“You know, wrestlers, we never really retire,” he said. “It’s always in the back of our minds that we can go out there and have one more match. One thing too in this business, man, it’s hard to leave money on the table. So if someone comes to Brock Lesnar with the right number for one more match, I’m sure Brock Lesnar could do it for five minutes and go out there and do it. I can do it for five minutes and go out and do it.”

However, if Lesnar was truly done with WWE, Booker T said he gave the industry his all.

“Never say never. But if it’s true, Brock Lesnar has done everything he can in this business. He’s done everything he can for this business,” he told PK Press Club Digital. “He gave it his all. One run, leaving, going to the UFC, doing it there, coming back and having his best run this last time.

“I say enjoy the fruits of the labor. Enjoy it because we only live once. What we do, as far as professional wrestling goes, is awesome, it’s really awesome, but to be able to sit back and watch the young guys do it, it feels good too.”

If this was Lesnar’s last match in WWE, he would retire as a 10-time WWE Champion and two-time Royal Rumble winner. More importantly, he helped make Femi one of the biggest stars in the business.
