Clean your shoes and get ready to hit the field again, football fans, because Ted Lasso season 4 finally has a release date: August 5, 2026.
The multi-award-winning comedy-drama, which appears to be ending after three seasons in May 2023, will return before the 2026/27 English Premier League (EPL) season kicks off later in August. And, to whet our appetite for the return of the extremely popular series, Apple has revealed the first images of Ted LassoThe highly anticipated return of .

He’ll be joined by plenty of familiar faces as he also looks to work his magic in his new role, including Hannah Waddingham’s Rebecca Welton, Juno Temple’s Keeley Jones and Brendan Hunt’s Coach Beard. Brett Goldstein’s Roy Kent and Jeremy Swift’s Leslie Higgins are also part of the proceedings, although it’s unclear how involved they will be in the larger narrative.
As for those who joined the cast, Tanya Reynolds (Sex education), Jude Mack (Waiting for the release), Faye Marsey (Andor), Rex Hayes (The Pact), Aisling Sharkey (Jurassic World: Domination) and Abbie Hern (Peaky Blinders) will play prominent members of the Greyhounds women’s team. However, there is still nothing to report about the characters they will be playing.
Story-wise, here’s the official blurb for the upcoming, critically acclaimed Apple TV Original: “In season four, Ted returns to Richmond, facing his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s soccer team. Throughout the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking risks they never imagined.”
Before the official reveal of the Season 4 launch date, Waddingham had all but confirmed that Ted Lasso season 4 would arrive in August. Before it, Apple had only announced that Ted Lasso4 would be released around the middle of 2026. As I mentioned, however, with the next EPL season set to begin in late August, it was inevitable – at least to me, anyway – that the Jason Sudeikis-led program would be abandoned during that month.
