After decades of car chases, crime thrillers and casino madness, John Travolta may finally be ready to trade in his life as an action hero for something a little gentler – and a lot more seductive.
Almost 50 years later Fat made him the ultimate Hollywood idol, the 72-year-old star is reportedly looking for the perfect romantic comedy comeback.
And according to insiders, there’s one woman at the top of the wish list: Sandra Bullock.
“John had such a long career of action and drama, it was his bread and butter,” a source said. Closer Magazine.
“But the truth is he’s actually more of a rom-com guy, those are the movies he loves to watch, and he wants to try to make one before it’s too late.”
Hollywood apparently agrees. As names like Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts and Meg Ryan circulate, insiders claim Sandra is the “dream choice.”
And honestly? Danny Zuko flirting with the queen of rom-coms sounds like the kind of movie people would absolutely watch on a rainy Sunday.
“They’ve never worked together before, but they have a fantastic relationship, and people think they would work great as an on-screen couple,” the source said. “Of course, the people in his world also secretly hope that something more can be born between them once they start working together.”
The two have crossed paths for years in Hollywood circles and shared a playful moment on stage at the Oscars. They also reportedly have mutual friends, including Nicole Kidman.
Behind the scenes, friends believe their bond goes deeper than Hollywood chatter. Both stars are experiencing devastating loss – John lost his wife Kelly Preston in 2020 after her battle with breast cancer, while Sandra mourned her longtime partner Brian Randall after his battle with ALS.
