Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, the WWE tag team known as New Day, reportedly left the company on Saturday in the latest round of exits.
Kingston and Woods became fan favorites when they formed New Day with fellow superstar Big E. But after Big E was sidelined due to a serious injury, the two continued their team prowess in the ring. Kingston and Woods were four-time tag team champions as a duo and held the belts eight times while with Big E.

Both Fightful Select and BodySlam reported the departures of Kingston and Woods. Both have been moved to the alumni section of the WWE website.
Kingston has had a lot of success as a singles competitor. He won the WWE Title at WrestleMania 35 against Daniel Bryan as part of the “Kofi-Mania” era where he received a ton of support from fans on the way to his first title shot. He was also a four-time Intercontinental Champion and a three-time United States Champion.
Woods joined WWE in 2010 after stints with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). Woods won the King of the Ring tournament in 2021.

As a team, the two were considered one of the best in WWE history. They won their last titles at WrestleMania 41 and turned heel shortly after. Both lost their titles in June and Woods was injured during the year. Kingston formed an alliance with Grayson Waller in the meantime before the departure.
Elsewhere, Tonga Loa and JC Mateo have also reportedly left the company.
Loa first appeared in WWE in 2009 before leaving in 2014. He most recently reappeared in 2024, teaming up with Solo Sikoa and the newly formed MFT faction.
