Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar discussed the current regional situation and Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts for peace and stability in the region with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in a telephone call on Sunday evening.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Araghchi thanked Pakistan for its constructive role and mediation efforts between the parties.

The statement said Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting constructive engagement and emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path towards the peaceful resolution of issues and the achievement of lasting peace and stability in the region and beyond.

Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Foreign Minister (FM) Ayman Safadi on Sunday spoke to FM Ishaq Dar and appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role and continuous efforts for peace.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the two leaders discussed developments in the regional situation and exchanged views on efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.

The statement added that Jordan “appreciates Pakistan’s constructive role and its continued efforts towards peace, dialogue and regional stability amid ongoing tensions in the region.”

“FM Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting constructive engagement among all parties towards stability and peaceful resolution of conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy,” the statement said.

The ministry added that the two leaders also reaffirmed the strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and Jordan and highlighted the importance of continued cooperation in bilateral and multilateral forums.
