Jacob Elordi encountered unfortunate circumstances ahead of a career-defining moment, as he was set to be one of the jurors at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
The 28-year-old actor reportedly suffered a foot injury which led him to withdraw from the festival, which will be held from May 12 to 23.
THE Euphoria The star should have joined Demi Moore under Park Chan-wook’s presidency, but his foot injury prevented him from walking.
The news surprised Elordi’s fans and they sent him their wishes and prayers on social media.
One fan wrote: “low key and disappointing, he would have brought new energy to this panel”, while another added: “This jury just lost half of their attention overnight, foot injury or not, it’s a big miss for Cannes.”
A third chimed in: “Oh my God it’s because they cut off his toe euphoria….”, referring to the recently aired episode of season 3.
This comes after Elordi recently made headlines over his new relationship with Kendall Jenner.
The couple was seen at Coachella this year, which sparked rumors, but it was later reported that they had already been dating for a few months.
