Meghan Markle had a special update to share just an hour after the Princess of Wales officially revealed her first solo visit abroad since her battle with cancer.
It is understood that Meghan and Kate are not on speaking terms despite Montecito’s efforts to reconcile with the royal family. The Duchess of Sussex therefore chose to share an interesting message for an upcoming event, which has meaning for the two royal women.
The As Ever founder revealed that it was the “last day for expedited shipping to arrive in time for International Mother’s Day.”
“A few thoughtful details can make the day more special. Explore our Mother’s Day gift guide for pieces that are ready to ship and simple to give,” reads the post under the special edition scented candles inspired by Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
One candle, Signature Candle No. 506, is linked to Archie’s birthday on May 6 and listed as “Birthdate of Prince Archie of Sussex.” A second scent, Signature Candle No. 604, is inspired by Lilibet’s birthday, June 4, and listed as “Birthdate of Princess Lilibet of Sussex.”
Authors and royal experts have noted that the Sussexes have a habit of sharing news around the same time as a major royal update.
According to a source cited by Rob Shuter, Meghan used a calculated strategy to “change the subject” and divert attention.
Recently, during King Charles’ visit to the United States, Palace Insider noted that “no one was surprised” that “all of a sudden something appears coming out of Montecito” while the royal family is in the news cycle and receiving positive attention.
Sources say it’s “not spontaneous”, which is why news of Kate’s first solo visit abroad to Italy following her battle with cancer saw something come from Meghan within the hour.
