NYT Strands today (game #796) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #796, are…
- BASIC
- PROSAIC
- COMMON
- ORDINARY
- PEDESTRIAN
- SPANGRAM: RUNOFTHEMILL
- My rating: Hard
- My rating: 1 clue
OK, I’ll be honest: I spent the first minute of this game looking for flowers and, seeing none, took a clue from my non-game words.
BASIC sparked a slap in the face for not understanding the meaning of “garden variety” and the overwhelming collection of synonyms for commonplace.
From there, the game was pretty straightforward – in fact, you could almost say PEDESTRIAN.
