Richard Holliday – the “most marketable” man in professional wrestling – will showcase his talents at the Battle for the Brave: Wrestling Showcase for Heroes on June 6 in Rahway, New Jersey.
The event, hosted by TNA Wrestling star and US Marine veteran Steve Maclin and outright Ring of Honor champion Deonna Purrazzo, will benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Holliday spoke to PK Press Club Digital about why he decided to attend the event.

“It’s a great cause,” Holliday said. “How could I say no to that? I’m very proud of what Steve and Deonna are doing and to include me in this is awesome. How could I say no to that? So, I’m really looking forward to this event.
“In fact, they were both part of the event I did, Narcissistic Behavior in August 2025, which was really recognized as the best indie show of that year and I have no doubt that Steve and Deonna are going to have maybe the biggest indie event of 2026. It’s going to be a huge event. I believe they announced the Hardy Boyz for it. But man, what an event it’s going to be.”
Holliday will be part of the Battle for the Brave Cup – a 12-person gauntlet match that will start as a battle royal and turn into a match when two competitors remain.

Maclin, Megan Bayne, BDE and other stars will perform in the match.
Maclin revealed his participation exclusively to PK Press Club Digital earlier in the week.
“Everyone asks me, ‘Why wouldn’t you want to wrestle on your own show, especially for such a great cause?’ So, from now on, officially, I am signing up as the number one participant in the Battle for the Brave Memorial Cup,” he said. “I’m going against 12 other contestants. It’s an over-the-top battle royale and the last two contestants turn into a match.
“I’m going to take the hard road and the difficult path to become No. 1 and try to work my way all the way to the end to be the (last).”
Matt and Jeff Hardy were also at the event and provided a joint statement on their participation.

“My brother and I are both very excited to be headlining the very special Tunnel to Towers event hosted by Steve Maclin and Deonna Purrazzo. Tunnel to Towers is a very special organization that helps care for those who have been injured on the job and protect us – people like the military, first responders and police,” the Hardys said. “We are very grateful for all of these people’s service and efforts to keep us safe and healthy. We look forward to raising as much money as possible.”
