Prince William and Princess Kate provide update on Andrew’s arrest

The Prince and Princess of Wales, who took charge of a major event at Buckingham Palace, were left to take stock as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor began to make headlines again.

Prince William and Princess Kate have already taken on more duties as they prepare to become the next king and queen.

The couple are said to have strong opinions about the allegations made against the disgraced former prince, who found himself in a frightening incident earlier this week as a man chased him in Sandringham. The man was arrested on Wednesday but news of the events broke on Friday.

In an effort to refocus attention on royal duties, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared an update, which also reflected their thoughts on the subject: ignoring Andrew and staying focused on royal work.

“Welcoming guests from across the UK to Buckingham Palace for yesterday’s Garden Party, recognizing their contributions to public service, charity and their communities,” read the message alongside a video of attendees giving testimonials at the Palace Garden Party.

“Hear from attendees about what this day means to them and celebrate their accomplishments and the impact they are making.”

In the end, the Prince and Princess of Wales thanked Rowan, Harry and Anna, who represented their charities, among others.

According to reports, Alex Jenkinson, 39, was arrested on suspicion of public order offenses and possession of a weapon.

He appeared in court on Friday and denied using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behavior with the intention of inciting fear or causing unlawful violence against the king’s brother.
