Will Smith scored a small legal victory in a sexual harassment case after a California judge dismissed some of the main claims against him.
The case was filed by violinist Brian King Joseph, who accused Smith and his team of misconduct during tour preparations.
He also claimed he felt unsafe during parts of the process and raised concerns about what happened behind the scenes.
But now a judge has reviewed the case and said some of the allegations don’t clearly demonstrate sexual misconduct on Will’s part.
The court also said that certain parts of the complaint did not have enough solid details to support them.
For this reason, these parts of the case have been closed for now.
However, Brian still has the option to amend and refile his complaint within 30 days if he wishes to continue.
Brian also shared allegations about strange incidents during the trip, including a situation in a hotel room that made him feel uncomfortable.
He later spoke publicly about his security concerns. Additionally, the star’s legal team has strongly denied all accusations.
They say the claims are false and have promised to defend their case in court.
For the moment, the case is not yet completely over, but this decision gave Will Smith a first legal boost.
