Pete Davidson playfully took a look at Lizzo’s recent weight loss during The Roast of Kevin Hartwhich premieres on Netflix on May 10.
Taking to the podium, the former Saturday evening live The star joked to the audience, “What’s left of Lizzo is here,” before comparing her transformation to Eddie Murphy’s characters in The Hazel Professor.
“Either that or Eddie Murphy just introduced the new Klump. Hercules! Hercules!” he joked.
Lizzo, who was in the audience, seemed to take the shot in good spirits, laughing and clapping at the reference.
The 38-year-old singer has been open about her change in appearance, revealing on Just Trish podcast in June 2025 that she briefly experimented with GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic.
She admitted that although the injections made her feel full, she ultimately decided to move away from them in favor of “mind over matter” and a significant change in her diet.
Lizzo explained that she actually had a harder time staying full when she was vegan, because she relied heavily on bread, rice, and fake processed meats.
Her new approach focuses on whole foods, including beef, chicken and fish, which she says have helped her feel more satisfied without “bloating” her stomach with artificial ingredients.
By removing “fake sugar and weird stuff,” the About Damn The hitmaker has managed to maintain her slimmer figure naturally.
Despite the physical change, Lizzo was quick to defend her status as a body-positive icon, insisting the movement isn’t about staying the same size forever.
Talk to Women’s health last summer, she described body positivity as “the radical act of daring to exist loud and clear” regardless of society’s expectations.
She maintains that her commitment to exercising is primarily for her mental well-being, calling working out the ultimate mood enhancer.
Even though she looks different these days, Lizzo’s message remains one of self-love and existing on your own terms, even if that means being the butt of a joke at a celebrity roast.
