NYT Strands today (game #802) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #802, are…
- ARCHERY
- DISGUISE
- FOREST
- BROTHER
- TO FORBID
- SHERIFF
- SPANGRAM: ROBINHOOD
- My rating: Easy
- My rating: Perfect
Surely “men in tights” can only mean one thing? Superheroes and their sidekicks. So I confidently typed “robin” – the name of Batman’s sidekick from the tights days. Alas, this was not to be the case.
Luckily, I spotted “hood” on the top row and realized that the “men in tights” we were looking for were from an era well beyond the 1960s.
From there, it was just a matter of remembering the important elements of the ROBIN HOOD tale – although the only version I know of involved a fox, a turtle and a bear who loved jazz.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Wednesday May 13, match #801)
- CRAN

- NERVE
- SAVVY
- FIBER
- HEART
