Following the launch of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 vlogging camera last month, we’re getting ever closer to the full reveal of its premium sibling – and DJI has given us our best look yet at the Osmo Pocket 4P on social media.
Publications on X and Instagram more or less reveal the design of the device. We can see the dual-lens camera setup, which is one of the main differences from the standard model, and there are hints of a 3x zoom and a 1-inch sensor.
The camera was shown off yesterday during an “exclusive preview” at the Cannes Film Festival, but we’re still waiting for a lot of details. Some festival-goers have showed the camera, without revealing any specifications or showing any footage captured by the device.
What we can say is that it will be a step up from the standard Pocket 4 in terms of video quality and price, and its Cannes tease is a sign that DJI wants to promote it as a serious piece of equipment for filmmakers.

There is now an official press release, but again, it contains few specific specifications. We hear the camera is capable of “pro-quality story telling” and offers 10-bit D-Log2 color performance, which creatives in the industry will appreciate.
The press release also talks about better performance in portrait, zoom and low light. So it looks like DJI put everything they could into the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P. However, prices and configurations “will be announced at a later date,” says DJI.
This long build-up to hype didn’t sit well with some commenters on Reddit, who called the Cannes tease “pure marketing fluff” with “zero real details.” We’ll have to wait and see if the camera is worth the long wait.
Meanwhile, Insta360 is preparing to launch the Insta360 Luna Ultra, with its own dual-lens camera setup, 8K video recording and a detachable, remote-controlled dashboard, according to the latest leaks.
