The future British monarch’s list of relatives has been revealed amid her preparations for her future royal role.
Prince William counts Princess Anne and his only daughter, Zara Tindall, who is celebrating her 45th birthday, on his list of trusted people.
Duchess Sophie and her daughter Lady Louise Windsor also occupy the top spots on the list.
Zara Tindall has often been dubbed the cabinet’s secret weapon due to her down-to-earth nature and charm, and insiders believe she is set to play a key role in William’s reign.
Anne’s daughter unites the family, Zara and her former rugby player husband, Mike Tindall, are very close to William and share special bonds with other members of the royal family, including Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
Zara reportedly persuaded Eugenie to write to the king about her pregnancy before the public announcement.
And with a known passion for equestrian sports and her regular attendance at socialites’ beloved Ascot and Cheltenham, it is perhaps no wonder that she could occupy a strategic position for the Prince of Wales’ future slimmed-down monarchy.
“Zara and Mike’s first loyalty is to the institution of the monarchy and its future,” Richard Fitzwilliams told the Daily Mail.
Zara and Mike’s popularity and unique position as royals, unhindered by titles, has undoubtedly done wonders for their careers, allowing them both to land lucrative long-standing deals with brands such as Rolex and Land Rover.
Duchess Sophie and Lady Louise
The heir to the British throne, William, also considers his beloved and hardworking aunt, Duchess Sophie, to be a “Swiss army knife.”
He considers her a reliable, hardworking and discreet figure to represent the Crown.
The Duchess of Edinburgh and her daughter, Lady Louise, are expected to play a more central and visible role in helping to secure the future of her monarchy.
The Prince of Wales considers Prince Edward and his family to be essential team players. Edward and the Duchess are “safe hands” within the family.
Sophie’s work ethic and popularity have made her a trusted confidante, especially as the monarchy faces a shortage of royals under the age of 70.
